Heather's upcoming court date

Heather Hindall (referenced here https://bit.ly/2n6xm1U) Has served a little over a year in Clay county jail. Her court date is coming up on 5/14/19. Unfortunately two of her major medical issues have gone ignored, epilepsy and psychoses. And if she goes to trial the state will add an attempted murder charge to her case. So she is currently in great fear to go to court. The person shot did not press charges, and unfortunately had a history of abusing her. The fact he was shot his with own gun does little to help either. But, It seems like this is a stand your ground case if nothing else. She also called 911 unfortunately she makes an unreliable narrator to begin with on medications or possibly post-tictal from a seizure.
Unfortunately, this says very little for self defense, women's rights, or gun control laws in the wonderful state of Florida.

I'm a bit confused. I read the story, and we all know news stories always have one side of story. There are always at least two stories and the truth.

I'm assuming you're suggesting that the epilepsy and/or psychoses came into play here. I'd like to hear how so. It can be a defense if it can be claimed Hindall was under psychosis.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how stand your ground or gun control laws come into play. Stand-your-ground suggests you don't have to retreat, but standing outside a bathroom with a shotgun doesn't bode well for any self defense case, especially stand-your-ground.

i am saying that makes her unreliable narrator unfortunately. I may need to re-write just have no clue how.
because one of that grounds she is being held the fact their stories dont dont match
she called 911 after she shot him, he was pistol whipping her, she took the gun, and shot him.
