This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror
where one could read it every day.
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.


1. There are at least two people in this world
that you would die for.


2. At least 15 people in this world
love you in some way.


3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you
is because they want to be just like you.


4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't like you..


5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you
before they go to sleep.


6. You mean the world to someone.


7 . You are special and unique.


8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.


9. When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.


10. When you think the world has turned its back on you
take another look.


11. Always remember the compliments you received.
Forget about the rude remarks.

And always remember....
when life hands you Lemons,
ask for Sugar and call me over!


Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them,
But you know they are always there.

That is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I sometimes wonder how big a burden I am to others. People are so good to me, and I appreciate them so much...I just hope I impact their lives as positively as they impact mine.

Laura, that was great stuff to read. It is a consolation to know there are others who are willing to assist and support us.

My counselor wrote down for me a saying when I was in the very depths of my depression
"you may be only one person to the world, but to at least one person, you are their world"
That saying is written down in several places and always puts things into perscpective

One year, I taught a class of what would be considered delinquent boys. They were affectionately called the dirty dozen by me. They came in at the beginning of the school year ready to fight at the drop of a dime. They were angry at life and took out that anger on everyone around them, as well as themselves. My aide and I worked teaching them academic skills, as well as helping them find their talents...writing, telling stories, making people laugh, cross stitching, working with ceramics, painting, music, etc...if we didn't know a particular skill, we found others at the school who did and asked them to come in and help. At the end of the year, a young man gave me a bookmark that he had cross stitched for me. He had even crocheted a border for the edges...It's at home on my fridge...but I think the quote says,

"I owe whate're I am in life, to your love that does not give me up. To your hope that sees me still as good."

He started out a gangbanger and ended up going to junior college. Keep loving and keep hoping. You never know whose life you will touch.
