Hi All,

I just wanted to pass it along that there is a wonderful group on Facebook who are currently in the process of trying to have the NFL teams wear some form of purple in recognition of the upcoming Epilepsy Awareness Month in November. Any support would be greatly welcomed!!

That's a GREAT idea! Many people do not think about all the head injuries that football players (of all ages) get on the field. Many of these injuries lead to tramatic brain injuries that lead to concussion, stroke, brain bleeds, epilepsy/seizures, and even on occasion coma and/or death, among other things.

I am sure that it may be an uncomfortable topic for the NFL because all players know the risks, but it needs to be addressed and the word spread!

It would be super if that would happen AND if they would also provide epilepsy education in commercials during the games. That would reach a big audience.
