About Me

    Seizure Background
First GM seizure in 1996, two years after mild concussion. Sporadic seizures ever since -- once or twice a year, sometimes triggered by certain noises and smells (e.g. car alarms, the violin, or leather suits!)

In the beginning, after having several EEGs, MRIs and painful spinal taps with no findings, I was more comfortable denying my epilepsy until I realised all those stitches served me nothing if I had no wish to star in the next Scarface, so I decided to take my doctor's advice and have been on (and off) Trileptal and Topamax from time to time.

I also suffer from cluster headaches.
