About Me

  • About CQ:)
    Seizure Background
1st seizure in 1978 when I was 9 months old, took tonic clonics from 9 months until I was 3.

I went 21 years seizure free until I started taking seizures again in May 2002 when I was 24, after my seizures returned I mainly took auras/simple/complex partials with the odd tonic clonic.
My original neurologist tried me on a variety of meds, none helped control the partials so in late 2009 he suggested I look into brain surgery.

In March 2011 when I was 33 I had brain surgery to remove scarring on my left temporal lobe.
I went 2 years seizure free with no issues & was even able to come of one of the 2 meds I was on in April 2013.
In June 2013 I started having funny feelings again, I worked with my current neurologist to try to reduce the funny feelings by adjusting my meds & also try to find out what they were.
In July 2015 I had a VEEG, at the end of the VEEG I had enough funny feelings for the neurologists to confirm that I was having seizures & they were focal seizures.
