    Seizure Background
I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 18 in 1982. Now I am having symptoms associated with my type of epilepsy: feeling sick with jerking, ground coming up towards me. My last seizure was December 2016 when I was taking zonisamide which was an absolutely awful AED. When first diagnosed I took Epanutin and Tegrotol. Both were ineffective. Sodium valproate was my next one. Took it for 33 years. Now I am taking lamotrigine but now I am still having jerking and twitching which is awful and scary. I've been to see my NEW neurologist and he has told me that my epilepsy is Juvenile Myoclonic. I think I have what is known as Tonic Clonic as well.
lamotrigine 125mg twice daily but I might be added AED as control is limited
