    Seizure Background
Diagnosed with epilepsy at 18 I had complex partial seizures which I had a right temporal lobectomy in 1989. Tonic Clonic seizures after surgery. Seizures have been under control untill March 2012. Now in a struggle trying to figure out if my seizures have returned or if they are psychnogenic. In November 2012 after an ambulatory eeg the epileptolgist decided my seizures were consistant with focal seizures. Even though my EEG is always abnormal in July of 2013 after the 2nd Video EEG in less than a year and no seizure showing on the EEG. I accepted the fact that my seizures are psychogenic. I was taken off Keppra and Lamictal but still take 800mg to control tonic clonic seizures. I still see an epileptolgist but most of my time now is spent with the psychiatrist and therapist. Even though I don't fit the PNES model. No trauma in my past. Parents didn't abuse me. It's just easier to accept the diagnosis then to keep fighting to try and prove that the seizures are real. I been told to remove things that remind me of my life with E. This includes CWE. I am taking a hiatus but plan to be back in 3-6 months seizure free!
