Hi everyone,

Although the specific cause of my seizures is still unconfirmed, the paramedics described them as tonic clonics, although I think I remained conscious throughout. My question is, is it normal to still be getting auras, headache and feel very drained, 4 days later? I feel like there is still something brewing. I've had two days off work, then today I pushed myself to help out at the farm, but got very little done and came home and slept. Love some advice on recovery! Thanks x

after 8 seizures in one day i think it's normal to still be reeling 4 days later. I'm sorry you had to go through that! I tend take a day or two to recover after just having 1. Once I had three in one night and I was out of it for 3 days.

As for recovery, try to do a whole lot of nothing! don't do too much, any amount of stress can start to trigger more.. i've had that happen in the past.

i hope you're feeling better soon!!

If your having auras, you're actually having simple partial seizures and you need to tell the dr. And the headaches are very common, even with auras and after TCs, plus this is going to make you feel very drained. Call your dr. ASAP and maybe have your meds changed.

Hope you feel better soon!

The worse the seizure the worse I feel after it. I'll generally have a very bad headache sometimes even still happening the next day. Normally I'm tired the day after the seizure. If it was a bad one I'll be tired for two days. I pretty much just stay in bed and don't get out unless I have to. If I had that many in one day I can't even begin to imagine how I'd feel days after.

As Cint said if you are still having the auras/simple partial seizures then that is probably why you are still having the same feelings days after.

You definitely need to let your dr know what went on as fast as you can.

Hi guys, thank you for your replies. As I was clustering and the seizures weren't slowing, my mum called the ambulance and I ended up at the ED. Coincidentally I had the appointments with my neurologist, neuropsych and vestibular physio the next day, so I have been seen. As the docs aren't willing to mark it as E, without a more convincing EEG, I've given up complaining about the headaches, auras etc. The neuropsych still thinks it's a depressive disorder, comorbid with my confirmed childhood E. I'm trying to give the depression theory a go because admittedly these seizures happened as i was reducing the first anti depressant. Of course two days later I got my period, a known trigger, but as my cycle has been interrupted I hadn't expected it so wasn't able to suggest this as a trigger. Today is day 5 after the seizures and I'm still struggling. I chose not to drive to Uni, as I'm still feeling spacey, tingly and have the continous headache. Grrr. Thank u for listening x

So sorry to hear about this latest seizure stuff Wobblez. I think this makes it pretty clear that your seizures ARE epileptic in nature. Either way, I hope you can get them under control soon.

:hugs:
