David was one of the happiest, kindest individuals one could meet. He loved to laugh, often at himself, and he always tried to put a smile on someone else's face at the same time. Passionate about helping anyone he could, he often stood up for and befriended others. He didn't think twice about sitting with the new kid in town; he never wanted anyone to be alone. One of his biggest lifetime goals was to help educate underprivileged children. He chose Vietnam because he learned from a past experience that building an entire school room was possible through fundraising. With the Boy Scouts of America he found a way to do this and made this his Eagle Scout Project. He had mentioned that he might not be able to get the school built in his life time but he knew if he started the dream it would come true. Not far in to his Eagle project he unexpectedly passed away in his sleep during an epileptic seizure. Mom, dad and brothers decided to complete the project in his name which will not only fulfill David's dream but also earn him the rank of Eagle Scout posthumously.
