Oh man I hurt all over just came out of seizures according to my fiance. I feel like I my muscles are snapped. And I still feel dizzy and sick to my stomach and like I'm gonna pass out. Is there anything I can do for these seizures?

Oh dear, I'm so sorry. Is this the first time seizures have made you feel this bad? Did you make an appointment with a neurologist yet?

Yes first time that I felt that bad. I am still sore today and I can't make a neurologist appointment until I get a referral unfortunately.

SoonToBeMommy

Sorry to tell you that is close to how I felt all day yesterday not great today either, every time I have a seizure its like that and I do not know any thing that helps, sorry.

It sucks it is the first time they have caused me to hurt so much. I think they were more tonic than usual because even my back hurts. Stupid grand mals.

SoonToBeMommy

Could not agree more about those Grand Mals, the pain in your legs and arms also your back is the muscles you have pulled and stretched, sorry, I know its bloody sore and the headache - like you said getting hit by a simi and kicked in the head by a horse one after the other. Its not nice and I am sorry you had to sample it.

I just hope it doesn't become my norm for seizures now. Only if the doctors would listen.

SoonToBeMommy

I hope you are right and they do not become the norm and I hope you have better luck getting the doctors to listen than me.

Well I been having them since October 2011 and had only one EEG done was even in ER a few weeks ago and no one ever listens. My doctor says they are Pseudo Seizures, but I am rarely stressed when I have them. I was actually having a really good night last night before having them.

I know all about the "pseudo seizures" diagnosis.
What I don't understand is that if the Dr.s truly believe that diagnosis then why don't they offer any help? It's like well, sorry. That's not my specialty. Good luck with that.
Have they done a video EEG? This is the gold star tool they use to rule out or confirm PNES.
They especially pay close attention to your brain waves post ictally and whether or not you sleep afterwards or just rest.
Although stress is a large part of suspecting non epileptic seizures they also ask about any traumatic history or if you avoid stress so greatly that you do not allow yourself to have any outlet for it.
I'm sorry that you are going through this.
Once this diagnosis is attached to your medical history it is a difficult one to shake. Don't give up! Unfortunately you may need to have another neurologist to take you on to get another opinion.
If you can't trigger a seizure, if you can't stop a seizure while you are having it, and if you know in your heart of hearts that they are wrong just keep on them until you can at least have them try an anti-epileptic drug!
I hope you feel better soon.

Yea it drives me nuts LJ. I am going for another opinion and hope they listen. They have not done a VEEG, only a regular EEG. I'm afraid they won't listen until it nearly kills me. And thanks C0urt.

it doesnt sound like much, but simple is best sometimes.
