Hi: My name is Mary and I am so greatful to Bernard and this site. I am 67 years of age and did not grow up with computers so I am really challenged when it comes to using them. I hope I am doing this right.

I took about five medications over the years and finally decided enough of these side effects. I am constantly looking for advice on what helps. I currently take many vitamins and eat mostly organic foods. Doctors don't want to hear what you have to say--after all they are the so called experts.

My epileptologist just wanted me to take another pill as he said my memory would get worse, excetra. I said "no thanks" and stopped going to him.

I found it interesting--the talk about Vitamin D. Mine was exceptionally low, so I now take about 1500 mg./day and may up it. I live in sunny Florida and take the bus, but it appears that's not enough.

Take care and good luck finding a CURE!

Hi Mary, welcome. I think you'll fit in just fine. Jump on in. :)

warm welcome to CWE Mary1.

Yes, these E meds are hard going.

How long have you been off medication? Did your memory improve?

Amazing that even though you are livining in one of the sunniest spots in the world you D levels were so low.

We will on chime in to this one - Bring on the cure!!!!

Welcome Mary1 :)
Good for you for taking a stand with your doctors. So many people are intimidated and do what ever they are told. I switched doctors myself and am much happier. Let's all dunk our Oreo's in our milk and toast "Bring on the Cure"!

Thanks to all for the welcome! CHAZ1 - I've been off medication about 6 years. No my memory hasen't improved; but I'll live with the bad memory and the occasional seizure. Since I'm over 65, I can chalk up the bad memory to having a "senior moment"

Welcome,

Hope you find this forum to be helpful as much as it has for me.

So mary1, you just said these meds are not working and causing too many side effects so u stopped, how is the seizure activity, same as when you were on meds?

What is your current supplementation routine?
