Are there more parents here with children with LKS? My daughter (2 years old) was diagnosed with LKS in September. It's still difficult to accept and to find a way to deal with it. I think it would be helpful to talk about it.
 
We've had 2 neurologists who were sure that our Jonathan (now 10) had Landau Kleffner because of his acquired aphasia (lost spoken language) at age 5, when he started having frequent seizures. But he doesn't have the characteristics spikes during sleep that are seen with Landau Kleffner.

Fortunately, Landau Kleffner is one of the childhood syndromes that respond fairly well to the Ketogenic diet, according to several studies.
