I am going to be posting on facebook everyday one fact about epilepsy. More people need to know about it and how to help. Epilepsy is very underfunded and there needs to be more awareness for it. :e:
If you are on facebook you can help by spreading awareness on your status by posting facts or PSA videos.
Also, many of you know that October is Nat'l Breast Cancer Awareness month and the NFL recognizes it by having players, coaches and officials wear pink, they also donate a large amnt of $ towards research. Unlike epilepsy, breast cancer is not related to football in any way but concussions and other tramatic brain injuries are and many football players in high school, college and Pro leagues have concussions each year which can cause long term injuries such as epilepsy. The NFL needs to do the same for epilepsy awareness as they do for breast cancer awarenss and I am sure you all agree.

here are some links to get you started on epilepsy facts.

You can also find many more by searching facts about epilepsy on google or any other search engine.

Also if you are on facebook there is a page called NFL support epilepsy awareness. You can 'like' their page and learn more about what can be done to help convince the NFL to support Epilepsy awareness.

Pass this NFL petition to each and every person you can think of! We're aiming to get 10,000 signatures to convince the NFL to support Epilepsy Awareness! By them supporting the cause, it could open many many doors. Sponsors could pick up on it. Donations could come flooding in to the foundation of America! Lets make this petition go viral!

I did find this petition, and signed as well (ca 2012). It's difficult to get these things on change.org a goin'. I have 12 signatures so far. Like you said, if we could stick together. Change happens slowly and with a lot of people all working together. :)

I just told my mom quite a bit about this too, and she didn't even know a lot of it, and is also posting on her page! :)

I bought a new purple sweater yesterday that is going to be my favorite - I want to get one other purple thing - maybe two
