You already know plenty about all the benefits of Omega-3 fatty acids. About how they are crucial to the proper development and function of cell membranes in the brain.

And how, as Bernard said, researchers at Emory University, have found one particular fatty acid – DHA -- to be at critically low levels in patients with uncontrolled epilepsy. Which is why doctors recommend diets rich in

Salba is the same as chia seed (which I use), so it can be worth searching for it as chia (rather than salba) to find inexpensive sources. But I agree, it's got a lot going for it, and is easy to add to one's diet!
