I just wanted to see if anyone else who has a VNS has pain with the VNS itself, not the stimulation, but where the VNS itself is, such as if it gets bumped against or you touch it. Also it is red, but not excessively so. I just wanted to make sure.

I had plenty of, problems with the VNS and pain. I even had to go to a pain specialist because of the pain I was having when the VNS was active and I ended up getting cordisone shots because of it in the VNS in some kind of way. This went on for quite awhile.

I got my first VNS in 2007 and the second in 2013. I never had problems with either. I don't have any pain or redness where the implant is. There is just a scar and a bump.
