Does medical marijuana help??

I live in southern California and marijuana for medical use is legal. I've heard that the right type of marijuana can help. Has anyone heard if thats true or if it helps at least??

It can help some people or make things worse, if your gonna try it I'd recommend staying away from saptivas and sticking to indicas, there's several threads allready about mj.
