Please give us an update on the result of your calcium draw. Very interested in that, as my son doesn't get much calcium either from his diet.
 
since you had just woken up it makes me wonder if you had a sleep seizure and were in between and so also the seizure was influencing the dream part of your brain or something
I think I've had similar experiences where reality is very skewed...
maybe you knew you had a seizure and your mind was conceptualizing it as a spider!
 
I was thinking that 6 hours recovery time from a seizure (dead sleep) is a really long time -- our son usually sleeps for 30 minutes to 2 hours, and then is pretty out of it for the rest of the day. You mentioned smelling coffee downstairs -- is there someone in your home who can check on you?
