Below is a link to a cold remedy that claims to have no stimulants. You can read its ingredient list -- all herbal, no stimulants, no echinacea. I can't vouch for it myself, but you might want to give it a try. You could also check with a natural/health food store if there's one in your area.

It has Rosemary though which is known to be a trigger for seizures.

If you have epilepsy, don’t take medicinal amounts of rosemary; the camphor in the herb could potentially aggravate seizures.

You're right Eric, I guess the rosemary is a dealbreaker.

On the rare occasions that I get a sinus infection or cold, I've found that tom ka gai (Thai chicken and lemongrass soup) really helps. Avgolemono (the greek chicken soup) does a pretty good job too. Both very tasty.

Also there's a kind of head massage that's supposed to help with sinus stuff. I don't know the details, maybe there are acupressure points involved. If nothing else it would feel good. :)

There's a restaurant here that has a great spicy Thai soup that can bust through any cold I've had yet..... Tastes really good too.
