Well this may seem stupid and all but i'm really confused. I have these jumps/twitches (usually in my hands or feet). I was having them more often before when I was on Lamictal and my neuro when I last mentioned it to him (just prior to coming off the Lamictal) said that it may just be the shaking side effect from the meds (I know I get this from the Epilim too but perhaps the Lamictal just increased the effect) that occassionally becomes a little jump. I've never had anything big enough to drop anything that i'm holding or anything like that and usually it's just a single movement but sometimes two - one after another, not at the same time. I've had times where i've had 8 or 10 close to each other but not together if you know what I mean - like within a half hour period or so. On one occassion (before going off the Lamictal) my head twitched to the side but that was the only time it effected that part of my body.
Now i've been thinking about whether it's possible that these are myoclonic jerks/seizures (and are myoclonic jerks actually a type of seizure) or are they simple partials because from what I have read it seems that involuntary movements are common. My conciousness is not impaired (doesn't last long enough really just a second or two) and myoclonics are generalised seizures aren't they??? Of course it could simply be a side effect so if anyone has had this side effect i'd love to know.
