thyroid medication

Does anyone take medication for Hashimoto's thyroiditis & not have increase in seizures? I've tried Armour & Synthroid & after 1st dose I experience aura's & double vision. Every medication I try to take for any illness seems to trigger seizures. Thanks.

I take Synthroid. I didn't get an increase in # of seizures from it. Tegretol is said to make Hypothyroidism worse.

I also take Synthroid and have for nearly 20 years. It hasn't increased my seizures. As forward2007 said, some of the AEDs can make hypothyroidism worse.

Tell your endocrinologist about it as well as the neurologist.
