OK, so I'm old. So I get to like stuff you may not have experienced. That's understandable. Usually I don't blabber about the subject, but I just got done listening to a Dire Straights album; Love Over Gold. One cut, Telegraph Road, has held up magnificently since being recorded in '82. If you have ever listened to it, you have heard one great piece of skillfully played and arranged music. If you haven't, do yourself a favor and acquire it. It ought to be played on a really good setup at an 'immodest' number of decibels. I like to listen to it fairly loud (Gimme a break, I'm 65!) while driving a long straight stretch of highway. You'll know what I mean. Trust me. Mark Knopfler is one hell of a guitar player. Always was.
