Mesdames et messieurs!
Ladies and gentlemen!
Meine Damen und Herren!
*a-hem*
My name is Sarah, I'm sixteen years old (but I'm turning seventeen reeeeally soon), I have temporal lobe epilepsy, and I joined this website to meet other people with the same problems as me. I'm really confused right now in this part of my life, my health isn't the best, and I don't know if the symptoms I have are normal for my condition or if they're part of something completely unrelated, so I thought maybe finding other people to talk to about it would help me, especially since it's time in my life to start thinking about college and living on my own, so I'll need to know how to take care of myself. It doesn't hinder my everyday life too badly, but certain things like heat or physical exertion wipe me out completely. Thus my muscles are really weakened. Other than all that, I actually don't understand my condition very much... But this probably isn't the place to go into that detail, I'll save that for a different post.
A little bit about me: I love languages (though the only ones I'm conversational in are English and French, I plan on learning Spanish and German and Hebrew this summer, next year, and in college--my goal is actually to try and learn every language in existence, and even though I know that's not possible to do in one short lifetime, they say you'll hit excellence if you aim for perfection!). I want to be a translator when I grow up. I practice right now on my favorite French songs, on lyrictranslate.com.
I also love to draw, and I might try a career in art if I fail in languages. I already do some drawing requests every now and then for money. I have a deviantART account, Balancesplashrhyme.
In my free time, I translate, draw, play on the piano, and play video games, and roleplay on my own proboards forum, though it's kinda dead at the moment. I also like some anime, you'll see my avatar is Near from Death Note.
Gosh, it's been so long since I've been part of an active forum... I quit the last forum I was in because I felt the admins weren't running it well and the community was starting to fall apart.
