Sounds like you could be suffering from a migrainal seizure, as your symptoms seem very migrainal. Worth checking out with your specialist. Good luck.

Thank you Baileyjane for reading my story! :)

Right now the docs don't know what I have, but they think it might be some sort of dissociative seizure syndrome. I was put on Tetrazepam, which I should take before the attacks, and I tried one last Monday.

So far, no seizures since last Monday week. *knock on wood*. That means, 11 days without one. I hope I make it til Monday and then take another tablette, that would be a record of 2 Weeks or more without a seizure!!!

I'm also trying to ignore the attacks and tell or reassure myself that my seizures won't kill or hurt me, and that they are just a temporary annoyance.

Thank you everyone for all the support!!!

Oh, one more thing I realise in hospital was that seizures are only a part of who you are and they do not define you, but are merely a very small fracture of what they would write about you if you had a Wikipedia page :)

All the best,
Alex

That's great news Alex!
I'm knocking on wood all over the place...

WOOOHOOOO!!!! This is great news, Alex!!! I'm glad to hear that SOME progress is being made!!

Alex,

I know it's tough because you at least have more information, but it feels like you're back at square one.

It's likely going to take some time to get your seizures under control if they are in fact caused by your mental state. Thing is, with therapy (especially CBT) you can really make some major progress. Also, you will probably end up on some kind of pmed. I myself take Zoloft and I really like it. Seeing as how AED's didn't help out at all, it seems to be the next logical step. Perhaps once you're on the right meds for your situation you'll see much more of an improvement.
