Hi, I'm new and really appreciate this site. my boyfriend started having trouble verbalizing at 7:30 pm last night and is still having trouble today at 10:50 this morning. He has had severe grand mal seizures in the past, but this is the first time I've seen this. Any advice

It sounds like a complex partial seizure (which can involve impaired awareness and problems verbalizing). Call his neuro, make a note of what is happening -- when it started, how long it's been lasting. If it's not stopping and you can't reach his neuro, call the ER.
