What is the safest/fastest way to come off 400mg of zonisamide?
I take lamotrogine aswell that I don't need changing, and I have some topirimate that I can replace it with?

This is just short term, once my doctor sees that I get better when the zonisamide is out of my system I am hoping to go on clonazepam.

I'm looking for advice on fastest, safest way to come off it at home

Is it causing you problems? That is what I am hoping to move onto

Zara-Newman,

The protocol to wean off a medication is very similar to the one that the doctor gives you when ramping up the medication to what they call a therapeutic dosage. My son's neurologist has advised us that every time you reduce an AED, there may be a seizure activity. Hope this helps some.

-Take care & best

I know how to wean off a medication generally, God knows I've been coming on and off them for years.
I wanted to know if there was any way the process could be sped up.

clonazepam isnt a drug i would start if i had any choice in it.

Its very addictive and tough to stop once you get on it. I would go toppmax/topirimate instead.

All that stuff does is weight loss and make you not want to eat anymore.
