My name is kellie, i have JME i was diagnosed when i was 15..and i am gonna be 30 next month, i have tonic clonic seizures and absenses, i am on 100mg topiramate twice a day and 100mg lacosamide twice a day. i dont like the fact i have the memory of a goldfish cos of the amount of fits i've had..stress brings seizures on too, i would give anything to go back to being normal again...lol :-)

Hello Mrs G,

I think I am on Lacosamide also. If it is the same as VimPat then I take 150MG twice a day as I recall - LOL. I am 54 and was diagnosed recently. That's what people keep telling me. You really made me laugh about the memory of a goldfish....thank you.....

My passion is Austin Healey sports cars, from your lovely but rainy England. ---one moment while I drop some pills (7am meds alarms are going off all over the house LOL)-----------

It must be late there Peace

Tracy

Hi, Kellie. Welcome to CWE. As soon as I get off my break here, I'll be off to pop my Vimpat down the hatch. :D I can certainly feel you on the memory issue. I was diagnosed at 16 and am nearing 30.

Hello and welcome, I can relate to having a bad memory. It is frustrating.

Welcome to CWE. I'm a mom to a 16 year old daughter who was dx'd with JME 2 years ago. Trying to navigate the way with the help of this awesome group.
