Hello, everyone. I'm Chase. I am a 22-year old college student living in the Dallas area. I had my first tonic-clonic seizure when I was 19 and have had them ever since. I have had a total of 33 seizures thus far. They are under control now, though. My doctor finally found a medicine that works for me, thankfully. I don't think my tongue could have taken much more, lol.

I look forward to exploring more of the forum and meeting you. :)

Hi Chase, welcome, glad your meds are getting it under control.
Have a great time!

Hi Chase, welcome to CWE!

Which med did the trick for you?

Thanks, reidflys. :)

Nakamova, Depakote is what worked for me. 500mg. Before Depakote, I tried Lamotrigine and Keppra (and I think another one I don't remember), but Depakote is what finally worked. I've been (mostly) seizure free since Janurary. :)

That's great! Any issues with side effects?

Not that I'm aware of. I shake when I have to make specific movements or become even the slightest bit nervous, but that's it, nothing major. I've been able to drive again and everything. :) Gosh did I miss driving, lol.

warm welcome Chase,

your seizures are under control and u back behind the wheel, NICE!
