I tore mine and I'm trying to figure the best way to repair it. I'd prefer not to have surgery if at all possible.I go back to the orthapaedic surgeon 10th of this month. He trys everything before surgery.I don't have best of insurance anyway.:agree:

I did something similar when I was younger...swinging a baseball bat in the wrong direction to fast and to hard...the pain was so intense I almost barfed...went to the hospital and they said I probably "tore" something...I think my arm is still sensitive for that reason to this day...they gave me the proper care instructions along with a prescription for some pain meds...I think it's my left shoulder that that happened with...but I have some tendonitis in my right arm/shoulder because of computer work...but I've been doing stretching and yoga for years now and it's gotten better slowly...however sometimes working out will aggravate it a little...if I workout too much that is...but sometimes I'm stubborn...oh well lol...just like recently I hurt my arm when I was getting into bed because I "spazzed out" and landed on my arm in a bad position and went ****!!! and almost cried...but I just giggled it off and tossed and turned for a few hours because I was having a hard time getting comfortable...not to mention I have a problem with anxiety...but soon hopefully I'll be getting something from the doctor for that...

but I wish you the best! :)

i broke the tip off my scapula, one of the worse pains ever, and they had to yank on my shoulder when my heart stopped beatting because of a seizure once.
just spent the month in physical therapy

My boyfriend's mom just tore her's. She's having surgery on the 16th.

For a rotator cuff injury surgery or physical therapy are the standard treatment options depending on certain criteria. Depending on the extent of your injury and how much you need to use your arm your DR might recommend surgery or physical therapy first.

My daughters Mother in law tore her's a couple months ago. She did physical therapy but didn't follow drs. orders as far as rest and lifting. Instead she went out on the road (truck driver) and now its worse. She will be having surgery this month. Hopefully she will start following drs. orders, especially after surgery!!!
