My daughter has already had an EEG done and it showed Benign Rolandic Epilepsy. But the Pediatric Neurologist I took her to said that he believes she may have more than one type of epilepsy due to the seizures her teachers are describing at school. They don't correspond with what the EEG showed so they want to get an EEG study. When she had her EEG they couldn't get the sleep portion of the EEG because she wouldn't fall asleep even though she was sleep deprived for the whole night before. The majority of her seizures seem to be when she is sleeping but the teacher has noted absence seizures as well. Can anyone give me any info in either EEG studies, Benign Rolandic Epilepsy and what the seizures are typically like with this type of epilepsy. She also suffers from terrible headaches almost on a daily basis and hasn't been placed on any medication yet. The dr wants to wait until after the study is done. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you in advance!!!
