My daughter is 1year old now and after she was born she would have these moments where she would twitch all of a sudden they would be her entire body and here lately she has started zoning out. She will be totally into what she is doing and then she is sitting there zoned out and it only lasts for a few seconds I tried to get it on video but by the time I run across the house and get it she is back to playing like nothing happened. She is still not walking and her motor skills are lacking and also she is only saying 3 simple words. It seems like one day she is fine and the next she is crawling and falls over and barely talks. what could be going on I am currently waiting on a doctors appointment. I am getting woirred and my husband keeps saying I am over reacting. Am i over reacting?

babies vary from one child to the next. so this may be normal for her. she may be playing with light she sees or stretching. or it could be seizures. the zoning out i would get checked. especially if she zones out in the middle of an action.

you have epilepsy your self, so it may be hereditary. but to ease your mind, and your husbands, get a ambulatory EEG scheduled and MRI etc. this way you can have her at home, comfortable and with all her toys etc and can record her the whole time.
