If a persons seizures might be caused by photo sensitivity and they work in a welding shop where bright flashes are common in every direction would the seizure happen immediately or could one happen several hours later after leaving work?

Welcome to CWE-I found this to be a very helpful site, I hope you do too.
I am not a welder but bright and flashing lights are one of my triggers. When exposed to them, if I have a seizure it is usually immediately. But there have been times when nothing has happened so I stay exposed to them longer (I should know better) and as a result I've had a seizure later in the evening. And there have been lots of times nothing happens at all! So there isn't any cut and dry answer to your question. One day you might have one immediately and then the next day you might not. For me, the flashing lights lower my seizure threshold so much that it doesn't take much to have one.
Can the protective eye area on the helmet that welder's wear be tinted like sunglasses?
Again welcome to CWE.

Thank you Jackier, very insightful. I'm a layout fitter who works with welders in the same shop so I rarely ever have a helmet on unless I need to tack something. 40 hours a week though people are welding all around me.
