When walking or riding in the car it’s great. Plenty to look at. Sometimes I want to sit in my chair at home and listen. If I close my eyes I’ll stop paying attention. The fireplace is nice to have, and of course watching the squirrels run around. I found that I can watch golf on tv without the sound and listen to a book 🫤. Just looking at the golf course scenery’s.
Feels like a silly question but I’m throwing it out there.

Truthfully I want to have more electronics free days and I am going to find the local library in the next few days.

Even I have wondered about that at times. I would think a person's mind would begin wandering if just listening to a book being read. I know I'd never care to simply listen to books. The ONLY recorded thing I enjoy listening to is music. When it comes to books, I NEED to hold & READ an actual book. I could NEVER understand why people would want those e-books. Who needs ANOTHER screen to look at?

My dad and I used to read paper back books and talk about them. He'd usually read it first then me second. Now we've got Kindles so we can read them both at the same time, I think that's really the only reason we got them.

I've got Amazon Prime and the books are a whole lot cheaper on there then they are in paper back too. Some books are only a few dollars and at times they are free. Some of the books we read do have a audio book option, it might be a few bucks or free too.

Not sure if you're looking for someone to suggest a book for you but you can search for the book type you'd like to read - Mystery, romance, history, horror etc... Or even the title if you know what it is or an author. My dad likes history so we read a lot of fiction history books.

The fact that SO MANY magazines became online only is WHY I ended my subscription to many that I truly enjoyed. Now, I only have subscriptions to a quilting magazine & a financial magazine.
