Hi
I am new here, my daughter was involved in an auto accident (she was a passenger) which restarted her seizures after being seizure free for some years.

She is now 14 years of age, and has not quite gotten back to the way she used to be before the accident.

The accident caused her to be concussed and left her in intensive care for some time, where at times we thought she wouldn't pull through.

It caused her to stop breathing and she would go blue and this was quite frightening for me and her mother.

Medication was not working and it was resolved that she should go onto the ketogenic diet. We have recently weaned her off this and she is again controlled.

She does however still suffer from irregular breathing and from time to time her lips will go blue. She does come good before it gets to scary.

I was hoping to hear of other cases where an epliepsy sufferer's condition has deteriorated after suffering a similar trauma or accident.

Her mother and I know she has regressed, however my daughters neurologist and all concerned will not admit that the accident has had any affect on her condition.

Any posts regarding this will be appreciated.
