Hi everyone, it's been forever since I've posted, I stop in every now and then to read up on the forums. I'm doing pretty good, a few déjà vu's once in a blue moon but no major seizures. Im just killing time tonight, I have to do a sleep deprived EEG tomorrow, I think it's my third one, the first one years ago found some activity the last two have showed nothing, but I've been having migraines and as long as I have insurance why not take another EEG. They also want to do an MRI, still waiting on approval for that.
I also got hurt at work a few weeks ago, I was running some cables on a stage when I lost my balance and fell off the stage. It was a 5 foot drop, I land mostly on my ass and messed up my back, nothing broken, but over two weeks later I still can't sit for long or lift anything heavy or my back spasms, it's some of the worst pain I've ever endured, even on Percocet I still feel it, thankfully the majority of the time it's really not that bad, and I can stand up straight now. I'm trying to only take pain meds at night. My current Doc wants to see the X-rays from the hospital, he thinks I might have a small compression fracture, I'm just hoping I didn't rupture or mess up a disc.
Other than that I'm doing ok, work has been stressful, I'm on the road as a roadie for a certain 68 year old singer song writer, sometimes it's fun, but it's long hours with little sleep away from home, though thankfully its not a full tour, mostly 5 days out at a time. I know it's not healthy though, not sure if I have any better solutions, when I'm not on the road I commute about 3 hours round trip a day to vegas and work anywhere from 8 to 16 hours, on the long days I get a hotel room and pay for a dog sitter. At least I'm making money, though I haven't been able to work in Vegas this week, trying to let my back mend, when I'm on the road the boss knows I'm hurt(hes partially at fault for not having the crew put up the safety railing, and leaving a curtain hiding the edge of the stage) so I don't do anything to strenuous, in Vegas that's not always an option, If things don't get better I might try for disability, I can still do my job on the road but I don't work on the road again till April.
Anyways not sure if many will remember me, but if you do, I hope life has treated you well lately.
