After two grueling months, I have just been to an emergency appointment with my GP.
I have been on the phone to them nearly everyday for two weeks, and into a&e.
I was laughed out of a&e, the GP didn't know what to suggest.

Until today I saw a junior doctor, she poked and prodded me, asked me from head to toe what each body part felt.
Then told me.

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Finally an answer and treatments are readily available.
Hope you are feeling better very soon.

Terrible that you had to suffer and wait so long for a proper diagnosis. :( But hooray for finally getting one and getting some relief!

Hi Zara,

I had the same problem a few yrs. ago and I had to see a gastro specialist and he found out that the one drug mysoline that I have been taking for so many yrs. ate the lining of my intestines and that's what messed me up. I was put on a low fat diet, a lot of yogurt and only tea and ginger ale to drink. If it keeps up you may want to ask your Dr. if you have the same problem. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

P.I.D. occurs in the reproductive organs not in the digestive tract, it is treated with antibiotics not a low fat diet.

You may be thinking of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

I am really pleased that I got a diagnosis, my antibiotics have played havoc with my anti epilepsy meds, and I've been a real burden on mum.
I am a week into the antibiotics and if anything I feel worse, I am a little worried I have the wrong diagnosis.

Well they say with colds and flu it takes 7days cure it with anti biotics and week without.Always make sure eat some youget when on them....my daughter been on them Two weeks now had abcess in her ear. Anti biotics good for that and secondary infections.Hard call at times . My daughter had constant chest infections last year doc said just simple linctus which did for a month in the end she ended up with pulmonary embolism it I thought the constant hacking tore bIt lung we ended up over one year on anti coagulants had she been given AB it may never have happened.

That's awful :(

I am hoping it is just "getting worse before it gets better"
I finish the course on Tuesday.

I really, really hope I feel better soon.
My myoclonic jerks have been mental the last few weeks, I don't know if it is the antibiotics (Dr says it isnt) or zonisamide or if I just feel shit.

I am meant to be going out for Halloween if I feel up to it, I am going to be gutted if I can't go.
