I read that really high Blood pressure can cause them. But also loads of added stimulation (including stress). I have both these but manage it well. Anyone heard of this stuff?

Yup, high blood pressure can cause seizures. The principle example is eclampsia, which are seizures that occur during pregnancy. The treatment can involve magnesium -- it helps to relax muscles (in this case, the heart muscle), and plays a role in protecting the brain as well.

Stress (even positive stress) can be major seizure trigger, the same way that it can play a role in causing most illnesses -- including heart attacks, migraine headaches, diabetes, allergies, colds, cancer, arthritis, insomnia, hypertension, alcoholism, etc. But as with other triggers, it's highly individualized. If it's a problem for you, it's a good idea to try to minimize stress by getting proper sleep and nutrition, and finding ways to relax.
