You mentioned Vitamin D (to get it checked) to the new Rachel. Can I ask what Vit D has to do with seizures? When I was tested for a host of stuff, my Vit D was .07 of 1%. Not even 1% of Vit D in my system. What or how does Vit D play into seizures?

Thanks!

~Rachel in AZ

Extremely low levels of certain vitamins and minerals can induce seizures in an otherwise normal and healthy person.
Vitamin D is one of those, Magnesium and the B vitamins are some others.

Vit D can be lowered by Meds and E meds can be same as Migraine meds (observed, sis migraine, sis bi polar and my son E) and Rachel mentioned she was on migraine meds.

D3 should be stable.......my son takes 1000IU daily and his D3 is in perfect range (because of supplement or it would be low), protecting his bones. Long term E meds well known to have negative impact on bones. Young or old, we want to be taking care of the skeleton :) that’s carrying us around...

That’s my thought on D and should be high quality D3…and the net offers big time info on E and Vit D.
