I went and saw the Midnight Premier of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 last night. It was awesome! Such a great ending to a wonderful story. It was very similar to the book. We went to the 3-D version and that made it even better. If anyone here likes Harry Potter you need to go see it. I will admit though, even though I'm a guy, it is sad......but very good and alot of action in it. Great acting, and awesome directing. And 97 percent approval on rottentomatoes.com so you know it must be good. =)

3D movies make me sick.

So just a tip for those of you who want to go see it with someone who wants to see it in 3D and you are photosensitive or it gives you headaches or naseas.

Take 2 pairs of the glasses from the person who hands them out. say you need one for a friend or whatever. then pop the left lens out of one pair and replace it with the right lens from the second pair

The glasses lenses are cut the same so it should fit right in. 3D movies are done in 2 layers. the left lense blocks one layer, while the right blocks the other, making your eyes see 2 images. this makes it look 3D. if you put a right side lense into the left side of a pair of glasses, your totally blocking one image, so you can watch the movie in 2D!

yeah, well they have they the regular version too cause you definitely don't wanna get sick, but the fact of the matter was its an awesome movie =)

Im so excited for it. but my large group of friends i am going with want to see it in 3D, i dont want to go to the 2D version alone.

Its actually the first movie I've seen in 3D that is actually 3D. Alot of movies are pretty lame and barely 3D but this one is consistant

*****spoiler Alert*****

out of curiosity, were you satisfied with how the deaths were shown or not? I know the book made me bawl my eyes out when the weasley twin died.

Well, as you know, there is only Weasley death. George/Fred is only missing his ear. I can never remember which is which. You won't be satisfied by that. However, you know which one will be the saddest if you read the book......and the memories which follow the death make it even sadder. But besides that it doesn't show any others, besides Bellatrix and of course Voldemort

really?!?!? Many more people were supposed to have died than just Fred!

•Remus Lupin by Dolohov

•Nymphadora Tonks by Bellatrix

•Ted Tonks

•Alastor (Mad-Eye) Moody (while transporting Harry from his house to the Burrow.)
•Colin Creevey
•Fred Weasley by a falling wall in final battle

•Hedwig by a Deatheater

•Severus Snape by Voldemort

•Dobby by Bellatrix

•Bellatrix Lestrange by Molly Weasley

•Vincent Crabbe by his own Fiendfyre spell

•Voldemort by his own spell while dueling Harry

•Nagini (Voldemort's snake) by Neville

•Professor Charity Burbage by Voldemort

•Rufus Scrimgeour
•Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) by his own silver hand
•Bathilda Bagshot (death is mentioned although date unknown)
•Dirk Cresswell
•Gornuk the Goblin
•Gregorovitch (death seen by Harry through Voldemort's eyes although date unknown)
•Antonin Dolohov
•Gellert Grindelwald
•Fifty unnamed people (died in the battle of Hogwarts)

lol ok i didn't read your list. but i noticed you listed everything. so i don't mind listing everything now, so i don't mind listing everything in the movie. im assuming you didn't see part 1? as far as the movie goes from what i remember.....may be more. this is what it SHOWS

hedwig - death eater
mad eye - death eater
lupin and tonks - just laying there
fred - laying there
voldemort - by neville killing nagini
nagini - neville
bellatrix - molly
snape - voldemort and nagini (so sad)
dobby - bellatrix
grindewald - im assuming by voldemort? it didn't really show it, but i think he killed him

Oh yay! I was hoping you (or somebody) would have seen it and posted a report:woot: I hope, hope, hope I can see this one on the big screen; I've missed out on seeing the last three at the theater because of not being able to drive, grrrr. Only my sister and her kids like HP of the people I know who could drive me and they live 70+ miles away:(

Is it actually pretty close to the book? Even though I liked part 1, they didn't really set up the whole horcrux thing and its connection to Harry, so I don't see how they can show Harry basically sacrificing himself the way he does in the book. Plus the ads show a much more involved fight between Harry and Voldemort.:ponder:

Anyway, I'm excited:)

Well I plus think in part 1 they set up the horcrux thing pretty well. they just didn't go into great detail. and exceptionally well in half blood prince. so if someone didn't catch on to the horcrux info in either one of those movies, the purpose of them is not explained in the last movie. you just see what happens when the last is destroyed. it follows the book pretty well (with the exceptions of the display of deaths), and yes there is a more lengthy battle between harry and voldemort but i believe his sacrifice and conversation with dumbledore, parents, sirius, lupin are done well.

I watched it on Friday. I thought it was BRILLIANT!! Although so much is missed out, but that's the sacrifice when its made into film I guess. When Snape dies I think it's done really well aswell. I can't wait till the full box set is out, will definitely be getting that.
I think the Resurrection stone scene was done brilliantly too, so sad!

Plus Emma Watson is soooooo hot so its always nice to watch her. Especially in 3-D =). And I'm sure my fellow guys will agree.
