Do seizure get worse over time?

Mine has gone from just numbness and tingling in my finger tips to full blown getting beatup by my seizures, the whole body. Leaving me in an awful way. Thanks to Ativan my last 8 seizures have been stopped at the shoulder area.

I've been on Keppra, Dilantin, Lamotrigine, and now Gabapentin. My seizures normally happen once a month.

Thanks,
Len

For many, if control isn't good then they can and usually do get worse.

Have any of the medications you've taken lessened your seizures at all?

Mine are the same, they build up but most of the time I only have simple partials or complex partials. Hope you feel better soon x

Sorry to say this but mine got a bit worse over time but have flat lined at the moment.

mine have gotten worst the older i get but everybody is different rephrase more ''complicated'' i hate that word but that's what they use everything feels like it's getting fried.

I spok to soon, like acpollard2010, I thought they had kind of settled down, not sure how they are going but its not down.

My seizures and daje vu got worse for any years.

Now They are pretty much under control. I take dilantin & Clonazepam.

I hope yours wil get better.

You might want to talk to your Neur. about upping meds. or adding another.

It has always taken 2 diff. meds. for me.

Mine were getting worse and worse before I was on medication. Keppra - my first med -seemed to lower their intensity and now the addition of Lamictal seems to be lowering the frequency as well.
