Woke up this morning with pain in my shoulder. It hurts when I take a deep breath. Have not been sleeping well since I stopped taking lorezepam. I am sleeping because I'm dreaming but am waking after about 4 hrs. of sleep and then every 15 minutes checking the clock.
Don't know what to do. I am starting with a new primary dr. on Mar. 6, with my new insurance from the Marketplace. Almost went to the er but didn't.
I'm still taking my 750 mg. Keppra and do not think I had a seizure during the night but don't know for sure since I live alone.
What to do?

Is the pain you are experiencing (either in your shoulder or while breathing) sharp? Does it respond to heat or Advil? If it's staying the same or getting worse, or making hard to move, you might want to think about seeing a doctor.

It's a constant pain but when I take a deep breath it's sharp. Haven't tried heat or med. This morning when I woke it seems to have moved to the middle of my back. Will try to call the new dr. See if they can see me sooner or advise.
Thanks for responding. Didn't sleep well again, either.

Sorry to hear this. Sounds like it might be bruised ribs or a pulled muscle? Either way, i hope your doc can see you sooner. Maybe give the heating pad a try or ice if that seems to help. Feel better soon.

:hugs:

Thank you Nak.
I tried the heating pad this morning and it got better. Called the dr, she was booked and due to the fact she's never seen me couldn't even recommend anything. I'm sleeping on a memory foam bed and seem to think maybe it's that.
Lot of stress on top of it all! Dealing with a bipolar son.

You may be having issues that go back to your neck, even if there isn't any pain in your neck. See if you can get into a good chiropractor. :)

Never have been to a chiropractor but have heard great things from those who do go. Will have to try it.
Woke this morning feeling better. Did take a sleeping pill (over-the counter) and slept on 2 pillows so maybe that was the problem.
Am also thinking of going for a massage.
Thanks for replying Evamarie.
