this morning i have had the strangest thing happen to me as i was coming down stairs, just walking slowly at my own speed not running or anything when i came to the bottom step its only 4feet across the hall till you meet the wall but usually my foot hits the floor and i stop dead before turning into the kitchen but this morning my body didnt want to stop and i just walked into the wall, if id had a myclonic and done this id of understood it but i was fully concious and aware of my every move, in fact it was going through my mind at the time " why cant i stop oh well when i hit the wall i know ill stop" and then i hit the wall i have no idea what was going off and had it been one of my kids doing it id of understood it as they normally come down the stairs 4 or 5 steps at a time in a mad dash and im sure most kids do the same despite being told to walk but i was only walking slowly which in a morning i always move slowly as i am never sure when a myclonic will strike and ill wind up going head first down the stairs been there done that many times as im sure many of you have as well but too but i was totally with it as it happens its just beyond weird has anyone else had this kind of thing happen to them please as i am at a total loss as to what went off

That's a strange one. That's one of the symptoms of Parkinsons, though it's pretty unlikely that you have that (they are very different diseases, almost opposites in some ways). It may just be a fluke, but make a note of it and let your doc know if it happens again.

Did you walk straight into the wall without stopping, or did you have like a misjudgment of space and try to turn but hit the wall anyway? I usually do the latter. I'm always banging into door frames and the corners of walls... the other day I was walking down the hallway at my aunt's house, and I suddenly just staggered into the wall. My dad looked at me like, "ookkaaayy..."

no i was fully awake and knew what was coming i just couldnt stop myself no matter how i tried thankfully it was only 4feet before i hit the wall
