I never know where to start a thread, but here goes...

I've missed everyone! I cut most of the gluten from my diet and it became fall so the weather was cooler. Both things had me feeling better - summers/heat are hard on me. I was able to work on some personal projects and work around the house - the house we purchased was owned by someone that loved to paint things you shouldn't paint and they didn't use the correct paint and alot of paint!- so I've been doing restoration. I now have 99.9% of 2 layers of paint removed from the tile walls in both bathrooms. Yeahhhhhhh!!!

My daughter gave birth to a beautiful, healthy son in Oct.

As you can see from my avatar pharoah has a sister! She is a rescued puppie that was in a horrid, pitiful state when I got her but is doing wonderful and very healthy now!

Things are calmer now and I've missed everyone terribly.

I adopted a daughter, so my only child and thus far my first and only grandchild. She swears he will be my only grandchild as it was a hard labor!!! We'll see. :p

Ty for your thoughtfulness! :)

Hi Eli,
It's great to hear from you.
Congrats on your new grandson :).
What is your new puppies name? I know she has gone to a very good home & will get really spoilt. It looks like Pharoah & the new puppy get along well which is great.

It is always so good to see an animal that has been mistreated or neglected go to a better home where they will get lots of love.
Back in May my parents saw someone advertising that they were giving away some dogs because they couldn't have the dogs where they lived. My parents inquired about 1 of the dogs & came home with 2 dogs lmao. They got a male labradoodle terrior cross (6 months old at the time) & a female papilion (12 months at the time). Both pups hadn't been looked after well, they were both underweight & the labradoodle terrior was extremely skittish & timid. My parents already had a 9 year old Female labrador Kelpie who had her nose out of joint for the 1st week but after that she was fine lol.
All 3 dogs get along really well, are spoilt & very loved lol. The pups both put on weight since my parents have them & are now at a healthy weight. The labradoodle terrior is still a little bit more timid then the other 2 dogs but he is much better then he was when my parents 1st got him. When my parents 1st got the pups the labradoodle terrior wouldn't come to you but now he is always coming over wanting to play :).

Thanks Eli,
That pic was taken last Christmas, it is of my parents old pup Marty (a black & white Kelpie).
Unfortunately they only had Marty for about 5 months because he was hit by a car in February :(.

Lily is a good name :), thats the same name as my parents Kelpie/labrador.
My parents other dogs are Sharlee (the papillion) & Toby (the labradoodle/terrior).

All 3 dogs sleep on the bed, Lilly can take up alot of the bed but Toby & Sharlee are both only little dogs so they don't take up much room. My parents have separate rooms so the dogs sleep on both beds lol. Toby always sleeps on my Dad bed, Lilly usually sleeps with Dad but sometimes she sleeps on the floor or if it's hot she sleeps on the cool tiles & Sharlee alternates between the 2 beds.
When I stay at my parents place Sharlee will often sleep on the futon with me, I am a restless sleeper & toss alot in my sleep so when Sharlee does sleep with me I have to be careful I don't roll onto her lol.

Hi, good to have you back,

Congrats on the news of your grandson.

Love the dog pictures, is it great to give a dog a loving home.

Glad to hear from you! How awesome, a grandson!! You have been busy since we last saw you. I hope you have taken time for you in all of this fun. Give that baby and puppy (((hugs))) from me :)

Congrats on all the good things going on! And it's nice to hear that the gluten-free diet is making a positive difference.

I have some bathroom tiling and painting on my to-do list. The previous owners used the wrong kind of wallboard beneath the tile in the shower stall. It's crumbled and caused leaking that's messed up the ceiling of my downstairs neighbor. You have my sympathies...

Thank you everyone for the "huggs." (huggs = well wishes, kind words etc)

I pulled the vacuum out, went to plug it in and found that a lil puppie had chewed the cord off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, lily is a chewer; Phar isn't so I'm having to make some changes around the house.

Did order a new vacuum tho. Thanks lily! :D
