I've had back problems for years. I've gone to several different dr's had x-rays and CAT scans done (can't have an MRI) and all the drs told me that there's nothing wrong with my back.
I tell them that there has to be something wrong. I'm not imagining this! If I turn or bend the wrong way, and sometimes I can just be doing it normal, my back will clench up and pain will shoot clear down my leg. I've even gone to the ER in an ambulance several times because I can't move! My calf has been numb for a year and several other things. But all I kept hearing is - "There's nothing wrong".
I'd leave the office with pain pills, muscle relaxers and sent to therapy where I'd do bending and stretching for an hour with someone telling me how to do it.
It started bothering me even more lately, in different ways too so I went to the dr who sent me to another specialist. 'Here I go again, down the same path - there's nothing wrong' I thought. The specialist did an x-ray and told me that I have a worn out disc, basicaly that disc isn't there anymore, and that's what's causing the pain!
Don't know what I'm going to do about it. He said about surgery but he really doesn't want to do that right away, and I'm not in any hurry to have my back fused together, so I'll just have to wait and see.
Glad to know I'm not crazy (not completely at least :roflmao: )!!!
