Hi all

I am frustrated. I have been having more partal complex seizures again. I'm back up to two or three a week. I have been reluctant to call my doc because I don't want my meds increased again. I know it needs to happen but its just frustrating. I have been trying everything to llive better to avoid this but it just hasn't helped. I am eating better, sleeping better and working to reduce stress in my life and exercising more.

Anybody have any other ideas or is more of my breakfast just destined to come in a pill form?

I know I've gone through changing meds, increasing and decreasing dosages and I hated it. Nothing seemeds to be helping and I was still having seizures I know how you feel.

This is a great site and I'm sure you'll get some good help and answers.

cupofjoe, it's great that you are being proactive about your health. Being healthier overall can only help in the long-term. It can take some time for the effects of a healthier diet or lifestyle to kick in though, so you may need to be patient. It's also possible that your seizure threshold is just too low right now, so raising your meds may be necessary to help give your brain a rest, and prevent the seizures from escalating.

One non-med approach to consider is neurofeedback. I don't know if that is an option for you, but it may help with your seizure control, and allow you to eventually minimize your med dosage.
