:e: new person here...Long story short, been there for my late wife who had grand-mals since age 9.we met in college after class she fell to the ground and started to have a siezure and tons on lookers stood and watched but did nothing but me,I only had basic knowledge of first-aid so i helped her get settled and walked her home.thats how we met...several years later were married and then she has a normal boy...he's just two and a half when she passes away and one month later I start to have grand -mal only w/out any aura at all. i continue to this day have these siezures only one per month now...I have always found it scary for me to wake up in a strange place like the ER...I do understand both sides.Peace.

Welcome Rich, you came to a good place.
To know both sides, and lose someone to it as well, I cannot imagine. (((BIG HUGS))).
So, this is your son then? Are you raising him on your own now? And with grand mals of your own to deal with? You must be one strong man, that's a lot to deal with.
Just know everyone on CWP is here for you, and whenever you need to talk, vent, ask, scream, cry, whatever... please go for it.

Hello Rich....I am so sorry for your loss. sounds like you had an incredible time together. Most of us will spend our whole lives looking for that. I'm sure that you are thankful. How wonderful that you have a son! Take care of yourself and check in whenever you can.

Welcome. It sounds like you are a stand up guy being there for your late wife. Not everyone has the wherewithall to help. I am sorry for your loss. Strange that now you experience seizures! Now you can have complete empathy from both sides.
Have they started you up on any medication? Take care and keep on checking in on us!

Hi Rich,

I'm really sorry for your loss.. as qtowngirl said, we're all here for eachother. Anytime you need to vent or ask for advice, drop a line and people will always be willing to help.
