Hi
glad to be here. Handy to have somewhere to come and share experiences of epilepsy. I tend to forget I've got it until I hit a bump with the consequences - such as applying for a new licence having moved back to Aust after many years abroad and going through the mill of medical reports, neurologists and bureaucracy.

Hi Moycullen,

Welcome to CWE, you'll find some great info on here & meet some really cool members :).
I'm also Aussie & there are quite a few other Aussie members on here as well.

Hi Moycullen, fellow Aussie newbie here too. This board seems to be an incredible fountain of support and knowledge. :)

Good to have other Skippies along. I'm in Melb. Getting used to the way things work - or don't here - annual reviews on drivers' licences is a bit of a bummer. I've had a 10 year drivers licence while abroad. A good earner for the doctors and neurologists perhaps?

I'm from the NSW/VIC border but I go to the epilepsy clinic at Austin Health in Melbourne at the moment.

I have never had any interest in driving so really don't have to worry about driving reviews lol.

I've less interest in driving but it limits work choices for me. Four wheels for the body, two wheels for the soul!

Hi Moycullen

17 years seizure free period is pretty good going! Have you been on meds for that entire time?

What sort of timeline did you have between your 1st and 2nd seizure originally?

So where have you been living overseas? I've just moved from the UK to New Zealand and am loving it so far!

Just wanted to stick my head in and say hi :) I'm from Melbourne too. This website is awesome but if you need any technical advice, guidance or reassurance, I've just discovered how utterly fantastic the epilepsy nurses at Epilepsy Action are. They will chat to you on the phone and send you stuff in the mail about whatever your concerns are. I wish I'd discovered them years ago :)
So hi, welcome, and best wishes!
Tracy.

Hi Moycullen, welcome to CWE!

Best,
