Hi everyone. I have been seizure free for the past 5 days untill tonight at the gym. I have a problem with anxiety. I keep worrying that I'm going to have a seizure and tend to panic. Well I felt a seizure begin to occur and went to the mens room. Come out of the seizure I realize I wet my pants. Kinda worried it might happen again but has anyone experienced this?

I have indeed wet my pants during a complex partial. I was at church when it happened. It is very normal. So sorry it happen to you though.

My doctor says my mussels relax and different parts relax. This time is was you bladder. At least that what she said. How long have you been diagnosed?

I was diagnosed in February this year but have had complex partial seizures for up to 3 years before I was diagnosed. The wetting your pants issue. How often does that occur with your complex partial seizures? When going to social events I always have to worry of having a complex partial seizure now its like the worry of a complex partial and wetting my pants.

I have only had it done a couple of times. Lucky for me being a girl, if i am really worried, I just ware a maxi pad. Also, I keep a backpack of a full change of clothes in my truck. Also, I just my balder as empty as possible. I may look like a dork going to the bathroom a lot, but it's better than wetting your pants. Remember this as well, it's not your fault, you can't help it.

Actually I've found that keeping an empty bladder helps lessen the chances of having a seizure. This morning I felt weird, as if I was really prone to having a seizure any second until I finally emptied my bladder. Then that whole feeling disappeared. Problem is that I don't feel like I have to pee but it certainly made a difference when I did.

What I find really hard is just the social side of life. Like I totally avoid hanging out with friends in case something like that will ever happen I will be SO humiliated. Imagine taking a girl out on a date and then I wet my pants in public. I'm 23 by the way. Do you still get out there and attend social events? Because since being diagnosed in Feb I have been avoiding a lot of social activities and people have noticed and been asking what's going on

Quite a few times unfortunately. =( When I was in 7th grade I played volleyball and I had quite a few complex partial seizures during practice. More than once my coach told me I'd wet myself. It's so embarrassing...

Prior to Rebecca's first seizure she use to have a lot of accidents. It was getting to be quite a problem. She never lost bladder control with the many tonic clonic seizures she has had. However, after doing neurofeedback, she never has had control issues again.

I was told it was a positive side effect to neurofeedback. Sure is something worth looking into.

I have not yet wet my pants thankfully I am sure the guys at the fire station would have some fun with that. I have noticed that immediatley after a seizure I feel like I may need to have a bowel movement. My bowels have not been regular last couple of years. Usually only every 3 or 4 days. Not a comfortable subject to talk about but I have recently wondered if this is related to my seizures. Anyone else with similar experiences out there??

Yes this was one of the red flags that I looked into when I began my research. Rebecca had been extremely constipated most of her life. It is my belief that this was a indicator that her system was not healthy. It was one reason we began the nutritional changes without thinking twice. One thing that helped turn it around was supplementing with magnesium. Increasing until normal movements are witnessed.

I really hesitated to post this. But misery loves company. I was having uncontrollable accidents for several years now. They were only about 1-2 per week, but that was too many. Didn't matter where I was, who I was with. Until this string I didn't put it together with seizures. Since my seizures are *somewhat* under control (now just mild auras), no accidents. I had no idea.
