hi joan thankyou for your reply

will ask the dr today when he calls me back really worried, hope your son is ok xxx

If its JME, its not a terrible thing. Both my kids JME. Each healthy as can be till puberty, where the JME kicks in. Its one of the Es that usually can be dealt with well. Its hereditary/genetic. Things that can trigger it. Not sleeping well, not eating well and stress. My son on lamictal since 1/2006. Hes in his second year of College. It does very well with his grand mals. My best advice is to keep your son going forward. Its hard on the kids. Its hard for them not to get sad. I remind my kids, its not he best but its certainly not the worst. I understand your worry and hope in time, that lessens. I hope he figures it out quickly. Hang in there and we are all here for you.

Welcome to CWE :hello: You've come to a wonderful place for support and encouragement. My son's experience is different from yours, but I'm sure others might have more information to share with you. Make yourself at home and have a look around :)

Hi mwoodwood, welcome to the forum. :hello:

Yes, my wife's seizure pattern was like that for a long time (only experiencing seizures within half hour of waking (before or after)). Her pattern has changed a lot over the last decade or so though.

Do you know if your son has any problems with sleep apnea? He might also try eating a protein (not carbs/sugar) snack right before bed time.

The couple seizures I have had were always in the morning. They are always within 15 minutes of waking up, so I totally understand where you're coming from. Just have him wake up slowly and be extra careful

good morning Bernard, thanks for your reply,my son also has asbergers as well ,he is only having about one or two fit s a week now usually at the weekend, they have upped his meds to 4 x 500g at night and 3 x 500g in the morning he is on epilim,he appetite has increased but hopefully things might settle down xx

Hi mwoodwood, I have a 24 yr old with HF aspergers. My daughter has seizures.
I have found nutritional changes to be the best approach for both.
