I'm new to the forum.
My stepson has been in and out of acute care due to acute psychosis, which seems to be related to temporal lobe epilepsy.
He was recently diagnosed with “cerebral dysrhythmia” of the limbic system and right temporal lobe. His symptoms respond well to high doses of trileptal. He also received a diagnosis of organic affective disorder, and exhibits a personality disorder suggestive of Geschwind syndrome. I’m wondering if his sudden phobias, dissociation, perseverant personality, and rage attacks are symptoms of frequent, subclinical TLE seizures.
I would like information regarding the symptoms of simple temporal seizures, regarding epileptic psychosis, and regarding the personality symptoms associated with TLE.
I look forward to future discussions.
