LOL. Yes just a little. I'm trying not to think TOO hard about the implications of the meds until I speak to the GP. Because i took epilim (sodium valproate) in the first trimester ( I've worked out that I am about 9 weeks, and only stopped taking the topamax 3 1/2 weeks ago, and the epilim 1 1/2 weeks ago) that I need to be taking a very large dose of folic acid(pharmacist says 5mg/day). Only problem is, I probably wont be able to get an appointment until wednesday, and you can only get them on prescription. The over-the-counter ones I've got are 400ug.(don't know what that means, can't work out how to make 5mg/day from them!). It's all very strange to get my head round, especially as my (current!) youngest is getting ready to go to full time school in 2 days. Calming down now, just trying to work out where to fit the new addition until we get a larger house. We are just concerned, as I have 2 children with disabilities, and my other half's eldest is profoundly deaf and has a cochlear implant. We don't think that we could cope with a 4th child with disabilities, but then I feel awful for saying that, but how would I do it? there's just SOOO much to think about. Plus a lot of the problems are hereditary- if I have a boy, there is a 60% chance that they will have the same difficulties as my youngest, and if I have a girl, there is a high chance (going on family history) that they could have epilepsy due to an inherited (very) low seizure threshold AND the profound deafness is hereditary in his family, about half the girls get that!....so a lot for us to consider, but deep down, I think we both want this baby, and we've both coped in difficult circumstances before, so I really think number 6 is going to make it's mark on the world in a few months, whatever difficulties present...At least I still have a crib and a lovely pushchair in the loft, and a lot of baby boys clothes. Bit of a problem if we have a girl, but I have 3 friends with baby girls under a year old. I'll update when I've seen the doc!
